Our Judgment

A short open world game that doesn't truly limit but combat is very limited. Made by a Small Indie Dev team! Overall it has its place!

For an open-world survival game, Shamania can definitely make you hungry for more.

Hungry for more combat options. Hungry for more ways to eat and stay buffed. And, most of all, hungry for more content.

That said, the game can be a lot of fun, especially if you enjoy melee combat or using a bow and arrows. The combat is fairly focused, though. Magic feels more like a utility tool than something you actively use for spellcasting. For the most part, you're looking at things like healing and AOE abilities that work within your melee range.

Building

Building is where things get a little restrictive. You're limited by the range of your Protective Dome, so you can't simply build an enormous base and keep expanding indefinitely. You'll likely find yourself building upward or eventually creating multiple bases.

Thankfully, the game makes having multiple bases fairly convenient. You can travel between your bases as well as the various travel points around the game map.

Overall, Shamania has a fun foundation, but it leaves you wanting more—more
